Aly Cissokho has signed for Olympiacos after Aston Villa agreed the terms of a loan deal with the Greek club.
The club confirmed on their official Twitter account on Monday afternoon that the 29-year-old defender has joined the Superleague leaders on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy.

Left-back Cissokho had fallen behind youngster Jordan Amavi in the starting lineup in recent months after manager Steve Bruce decided to axe the senior player.
During his last outing for the club, a 2-1 win at Reading in October, the Frenchman conceded a penalty for the second game running.
This saw Amavi come back into the starting fold and the 22-year-old has not looked back since producing a number of good displays for his side.

Cissokho made 12 appearances in the Championship, providing one assist and helping his team secure three clean sheets.
Football Insider verdict:
Steve Bruce has made the right decision in loaning out Aly Cissokho as the left-back is not good enough to help Villa gain promotion. The Frenchman produced a number of costly mistakes earlier on in the campaign which has now cost him his place at the club. His departure may leave Bruce’s side with only one recognised left-back but this gives the club an opportunity to purchase a younger and better player. Additionally, Cissokho will now be off the wage bill, so that in itself will give the promotion chasers room to add more quality to the side. Norwich man Robbie Brady should be that guy who the Midlands club should target as his versatility would suit Villa in both an attacking and defensive sense.
