Done deal: Liverpool confirm terms agreed to wrap up forward deal

Liverpool have confirmed that young forward Curtis Jones has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The Reds announced on their official Twitter account and official website on Thursday that Jones, 17, has agreed terms to his deal in the week he celebrated his birthday.

Jones has been a regular feature in Liverpool’s Under-18s this season, who are managed by legend Steven Gerrard.
He has made 12 appearances in the U18 Premier League, scoring seven goals and supplying four assists.
The Reds say on their website that Jones is a versatile forward but at times this season he has played for the Merseyside youth teams in the centre of midfield, especially in the UEFA Youth League.
Jones has been a part of the Liverpool youth set-up since joining the Under-9s side and has shown great improvement each year as he progresses through the ranks.
Football Insider verdict
Liverpool have a fantastic academy and Jones is one of the brightest players among the bunch. He can seemingly play anywhere. Whether it is in attack, on the wing or shielding the back four, he can do it. It may be way too soon to play it, but he has shown similar qualities to Gerrard and could be a real asset to a senior squad one day, whether if it is at Liverpool or elsewhere. Jurgen Klopp has not given many Reds youth players the chance to impress in the first-team, but if someone was to make a real impression, there’s no doubt hat the German manager could field some teenage talent in his expensive squad.
In other Liverpool news, another forward is due to sign a deal at Anfield.
