Done deal: Striker agrees transfer from Rangers to English club

Bury have signed former Rangers striker Nicky Clarke on a two-year deal, the club have announced.

The 25-year-old Scot was released by Rangers this month following their promotion to the Scottish Premier League.

Bury announced on their official club website on Saturday that they have completed the signing of Clarke.

He made 32 appearances in 2015-16, scoring six goals and supplying three assists in all competitions.

Clarke make 102 appearances during his three seasons at Rangers, scoring 23 goals before he was released at the end of the 2015-16 season.

He is in line to link up with his new team mates on Monday when the Bury players return for pre-season training.

Clark is the Shakers’ fourth signing in the space of 24 hours after goalkeeper Ben Williams, winger Zeli Ismail and defender Niall Maher all joined the League One club.

In other Rangers news, Jens Lehmann has urged the Ibrox club to sign a Euro 2016 star after he was shortlisted as a transfer target.
