‘Don’t let him near the team’ – Liverpool fans all say the same thing about one player after win vs Real Madrid

Milos Kerkez was dropped by Arne Slot in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory against Real Madrid on 4 November as Andy Robertson excelled.

Liverpool signed Kerkez from Bournemouth over the summer, yet the big money move has failed to take off as of yet.

The Hungarian was thrusted into the starting XI, but struggled to adapt to the demands of playing for the Reds which saw him benched against los Blancos in the Champions League.

Former Man United and Blackburn scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Slot will be very concerned by Kerkez, reinforced by his decision to start Robertson in Europe last night.

Andy Robertson superb as Liverpool fans in unison that Kerkez must play second fiddle for foreseeable future

The former Cherry was restricted to a brief eight-minute cameo off the bench for the Scotsman at Anfield as he watched his competition thrive.

Robertson was astute defensively, winning four of his six duels and ensuring he wasn’t dribbled past by the speed of the Real Madrid attack.

The clear contrast between the 31-year-old and the 21-year-old was the former’s composure on the ball, losing possession on just eight occasions.

Supposedly “past his best” given his age, the Scotland international proved doubters wrong once again, a hammer blow for Kerkez’s starting XI prospects after an underwhelming start at Anfield.

Liverpool fans noted the excellence of Robertson that should keep the Hungarian out for the foreseeable future, with one saying: “[Robertson was] really good last night…please don’t let Kerkez near the team.” with another adding: “I don’t understand why Arne Slot thought that Kerkez is better than Andy Robertson.”
