Door has opened on Arsenal to sign Ruben Neves as £20m deal reported – expert
Kevin Campbell suspects the door is opening on Arsenal to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Gunners striker claimed “the time has come” for the 25-year-old to leave Molineux.
As quoted by the BBC (31 May), Wolves technical director Scott Sellars confessed that the club have to be “realistic” with their ability to keep hold of Neves this summer.

According to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein (24 May), Arsenal are targeting the centre-midfielder, who has two years remaining on his current contract.
The Sun‘s Jordan Davies claimed (1 June) that Wolves are close to completing a move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Palhinha.
When asked by Football Insider if the reported £20million deal opens the door for Neves to leave, Campbell said: “I think so.
“This could be the changing of the guard at Wolves.
“Ruben Neves has done as much as he can at Wolves, if I’m honest with you. He has been a fantastic player for them over the years.
“The fact that they are signing another centre-midfielder suggests that there could be movement. It allows Neves to leave.

“He may not come to Arsenal but he certainly has a better chance of leaving.
“The time has come for him to leave. He is at the right age. I’m not sure there’s too much more for him to achieve at Wolves.”
