Dor Turgeman to Leeds: O’Rourke shares transfer update today

Dor Turgeman is in the sights of Leeds United ahead of the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that signing the 21-year-old would be “a bit of a gamble” on Leeds’ behalf.

However, Turgeman is a versatile option as he can play down the middle, as a second striker, or on the left wing.

Leeds are looking at Turgeman as someone who can help fire them to promotion into the Premier League, which is what Daniel Farke’s side are aiming to achieve this season.

The Yorkshire giants currently sit third in the Championship and are only three points behind league leaders Sheffield United.

It is believed that Leeds will go for a second striker in January as that is the only issue the team have had this season.

Leeds United are looking to improve their firepower

Leeds have scored 31 goals out of their opening 18 Championship fixtures, but the club wants to see more goals coming from their forward.

Football Insider revealed that Evan Ferguson is another option that the Yorkshire giants are considering signing in January.

Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that the club wants someone more proven if they were to bring a new striker in.

Daniel Farke applauds Leeds United fans

The need to sign a striker could be enhanced if Patrick Bamford ends up leaving the club in January.

Football Insider revealed back in October that the striker wants to leave the club due to his reduced playing time under Farke.
