‘Dougie Freedman to be paid five times his salary’ after Crystal Palace exit
Crystal Palace have won four games on the bounce in all competitions as they continue to improve under Oliver Glasner.
The south London club are also into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after being Millwall 3-1 earlier this month.
Palace will face fellow Premier League side Fulham for a place in the semi-finals at Wembley on 29 March.
However, Palace have confirmed sporting director Dougie Freedman is leaving Selhurst Park to take up a role at another club.
Reports have suggested he is set to join Saudi second-division side Al-Diriyah as sporting director.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Freedman has an “amazing” reputation following his work at Selhurst Park.
The 50-year-old has been with Palace as a player, manager and in his current role since 2017.
He was responsible for recruiting the likes of Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton and Dean Henderson.

Crystal Palace chief has done ‘amazing’ job
Borson revealed Freedman will likely be paid five times his Palace salary in the Middle East.
He told Football Insider: “He’s got an amazing reputation.
“I think it is a big loss. But ultimately, what’s he going to be paid?
“It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s paid five times what he’s earning at Crystal Palace.
“He will go and do it for two years and then see what happens.
“There isn’t a lot Crystal Palace can do when somebody’s being offered that kind of a multiple of their current salary.”

Crystal Palace could sell Marc Guehi to Liverpool in cut-price deal
Football Insider revealed on 21 March Liverpool could agree a cut-price deal for Marc Guehi as they look to add to their defensive options.
Palace fought off interest from Newcastle United last summer, with Eddie Howe’s side seeing up to four bids rejected for the centre-back.

It is believed Selhurst Park chiefs wanted around £75-80million for their captain at that time, but the 24-year-old will have just 12 months remaining on his contract in June.
Liverpool could now sign Guehi, who has scored three goals in 34 appearances this season, for around £50-60million this summer.
