England manager Gareth Southgate will be naming his squad for the forthcoming international games with a few Liverpool players expected to feature.
The Three Lions will travel to Germany to take on their old foes in a friendly on March 22 before they host Lithuania in a World Cup qualifier four days later.
Here, Football Insider rates the chances the Reds players have out of ten of earning either a debut call-up or adding another international cap to their name.
Jordan Henderson 0 – In the words of Jurgen Klopp, the injured Henderson has “no chance” of earning a call-up.
Daniel Sturridge 5 – With the number of injuries Southgate has to contend with, it may not be a surprise if the out-of-form Sturridge is called up. He has hardly played and doesn’t deserve to be named in the squad. However, past experience and form might see him selected.
Adam Lallana 10 – A certainty to be called up, especially given the run of form the former Southampton graduate has been in on of late.
Nathaniel Clyne 9 – Another player who is highly likely to add another international cap to his locker. But, his form has not been great for the Reds and he won’t be expected to start.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 0 – At this moment in time, the teenager is working his way up the ranks. He has looked impressive when given the opportunity, but there is no chance he will be called up to the senior team.
In other Liverpool news, the club are mad for this striker who has taken the Championship by storm.
