Dwight McNeil and James Garner respond to new Everton debut announcement
Dwight McNeil and James Garner have reacted to the latest exciting announcement emerging out of Everton ahead of the new season.
Beto scored the Toffees’ only goal in a 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley on Tuesday, 15 July, with Blackburn Rovers, Bournemouth, West Ham, Man United, and AS Roma all to come in friendlies.
David Moyes’ side then kick off their Premier League campaign with a visit to Leeds United on Monday, 18 August, and fans could not be more excited for the new era under The Friedkin Group‘s reign.
Carlos Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, and Mark Travers have all been signed on permanent deals, with Football Insider understanding that Everton are also battling Man United for Wilfried Ndidi‘s signature.
The new owners are unlikely to splash all their cash during the first summer transfer window in charge, but that has not stopped the excitement developing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

David Moyes to push for success on Merseyside
Football Insider verdict
Supporters have quickly fallen back in love with the 62-year-old manager, having returned to Merseyside for the second time since leaving all the way back in 2013 for Man United.
The Scot has lost just five of his 20 matches in charge so far, dragging the Toffees away from the relegation zone last season, giving fans a newfound hope amidst the takeover chaos.
Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Everton are concerned by PSR this summer, with their transfer budget dropping because of that, but business is still being done behind the scenes.

Signings are unlikely to stop after the announcements of Barry, Travers, and Alcaraz, mainly due to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Mason Holgate, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Ashley Young all being allowed to leave.
A new deal for Jarrad Branthwatte has come as a huge boost for Everton, helping to consolidate the back line, but signing a new forward could be the biggest challenge ahead of the new season.
Following Jack Harrison’s return to Leeds United, there is a distinct lack of wingers available to the manager, and that needs to change if the Toffees are to be successful next season.
