Dybala could replace Salah at Liverpool after update from Italy – Phillips
Paulo Dybala could replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool if the Egyptian fails to agree a new contract, according to Kevin Phillips.
The former England striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 28-year-old Argentine would not break into the Reds’ current attack.
According to Tutto Mercato (26 January), Dybala’s situation is being closely monitored by Liverpool as his contract talks with current club Juventus come to a head.

The forward’s current deal expires at the end of the season, with Jurgen Klopp’s side currently free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement.
Meanwhile, Liverpool star Salah and teammate Sadio Mane are due to become free agents at the end of next season.
When asked if Dybala could break into the front line at Anfield, Phillips told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “No, if I’m being honest.
“Not when you’ve got Diogo Jota, Mane, and Salah all back fit and firing. Not many in the world could break into that front three.
“Whoever comes, whether it’s Dybala or someone else – they’ll have to fight for their place.
“Of course, we don’t know whether the contract of Salah is going to be resolved. If he’s going to move on, then obviously that will free up a spot.
“But at the minute, no one is breaking in ahead of those three – they’re three of the best in the world.”
Dybala has netted seven goals and contributed three assists for Juventus in Serie A this term.

Liverpool are close to agreeing the arrival of one forward this month.
Football Insider revealed today (28 January) that Klopp’s side have had a £50million bid accepted by Porto for Luis Diaz – with a medical due to take place this weekend.
