Arsenal target Eberechi Eze shared an update on his current activities as speculation continues over a potential move away from Crystal Palace.

Arsenal have already completed deals for Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga, while they are also closing in on Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres.

But the recruitment drive doesn’t stop there, with Mikel Arteta’s side now looking to step up their pursuit of Eze.

Eberechi Eze attends Wimbledon final amid Arsenal interest

Eze remains on extended time off and was not involved in Crystal Palace’s first pre-season fixture in a 1-0 win over Millwall on Saturday (12 July).

Instead, the England international shared a glimpse of his summer break on Instagram, revealing he had attended the Wimbledon final on 13 July, where Jannik Sinner defeated Carlos Alcaraz.

Eze’s love for tennis mirrors that of potential future teammates Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber, who have also been spotted at Wimbledon this summer.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s interest in the Crystal Palace star continues to gather pace. However, his £68million release clause could prove a stumbling block — especially if Palace insist on the full fee being paid up front.

Football Insider revealed that Arsenal are willing to meet Eze’s release clause but want to negotiate a payment structure that allows for instalments instead.

Eze, who joined Palace from QPR, is coming off a superb campaign, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists across all competitions, including the match-winner in the FA Cup final.

In addition to their chase for Eze, Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Madueke as their summer rebuild continues to gather momentum.

It’s understood that the deal for Madueke is separate from any potential move for Eze, with both players seen as key additions to strengthen different areas of Arteta’s squad.

As the final details are being finalised for the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, attention will turn to whether Arsenal decide to make a formal offer for Eze, which a move that could further bolster their attacking depth ahead of the new season.
