Ederson horror-show, Rayan Ait-Nouri incredible – Man City ratings v Juventus
Pep Guardiola’s side topped Group G at the Club World Cup with a sensational 5-2 win over Juventus in Florida.
Jeremy Doku got the party started, linking up brilliantly with new signing Rayan Ait-Nouri, before Ederson’s awful error allowed Teun Koopmeiners to equalise just two minutes later.
However, with an own goal from Pierre Kalulu, and further efforts from Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Savinho, Dusan Vlahovic’s late consolation was far from a lifeline for the Serie A giants in the final six minutes.
The Citizens could now face Real Madrid, RB Salzburg, or Al Hilal in the knockout stages, having won all three of their matches to top Group G at the Club World Cup.

Rayan Ait-Nouri announces himself as Man City star
Ederson – 2
Absolutely awful. For everything he does well, there are far too many mistakes in the goalkeeper’s locker. Slightly made up for the error against Vlahovic in the second half.
Matheus Nunes – 8
Was given a chance to showcase his talents at full-back, and he delivered a simple cross for Haaland’s goal seven minutes into the second half. Needed to step up after Rico Lewis’ suspension was upheld.
Manuel Akanji – 7
Juventus caused a few problems throughout the game, but the Swiss international showed his class at the back, supporting Dias by mopping up any passes in behind.
Ruben Dias – 6
Gave away a couple of needless fouls throughout the game, not always looking the most solid of centre-backs. Likely to stabilise once the new season kicks off.
Rayan Ait-Nouri – 9 – Man of the Match
Absolutely sensational. Played like he had something to prove, announcing himself as a Man City player with his first assist for the club (likely to be of many).
Pep Guardiola’s midfield needs work ahead of 2025/26 campaign
Rodri (Off for Ilkay Gundogan 66′) – 6
Still a long way away from the player he used to be, but with an hour under his belt, the Spaniard is slowly returning to the Ballon d’Or-winning midfielder fans love.
Tijjani Reijnders – 7
His best performance of the Club World Cup so far, having been rested for the 6-0 win over Al-Ain. Certainly a threat from distance, being given the license to roam thanks to Rodri.
Bernardo Silva – 6
Could have, and possibly should have, opened the scoring in the first few minutes. Was the main work-horse in the middle of the park, with some of his efforts going unnoticed. Nothing special from him.
Savinho – 6
Very quiet up until bagging the assist for Foden’s goal. Totally outshone by his winger teammate on the opposite flank. Scored a late stunner to bump up his score.
Jeremy Doku (Off for Foden 66′) – 8
Outrageous skill from the Belgian, running the Juventus defence ragged throughout the game.

Erling Haaland looks back to his best off the bench
Omar Marmoush (Off for Haaland 46′) – 6
Some bright sparks from the Egyptian in the first half, and while he was slightly frustrated in the penalty area, he will have felt hard done by to be taken off during the break.
Substitutes
Erling Haaland (On for Marmoush 46′) – 8
Made all the right runs after coming on, handing Juventus a massive headache in the final third. Looked even hungrier for more ahead of the round of 16. Back to his best.
Ilkay Gundogan (On for Rodri 66′) – 6
Tried his best to create chances. Got lost a bit in all the action at Juventus’ end.
Phil Foden (On for Doku 66′) – 7
In the right place at the right time to put the cherry on the cake for the Citizens.
Rayan Cherki (On for Ait-Nouri 75′) – 5
Offered very little after coming on. Difficult to make an impact when players are beginning to roll down the clock.
Nico O’Reilly (On for Bernardo 75′) – 4
Much like Cherki, it was difficult for the youngster to get involved when the game was done and dusted.
