Edson Alvarez and Mavropanos react to Jean-Clair Todibo’s cryptic West Ham post

Jean-Clair Todibo has taken to social media with a strange new message as West Ham continue to struggle on the pitch.

Graham Potter is already under pressure at West Ham, with the Hammers now without a victory in four league matches, ever since completing unexpected back-to-back wins over Arsenal and Leicester City.

Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen looked set to claim all three points at the London Stadium against Bournemouth, but Todibo and the rest of the defence could not deny Evanilson on two occasions.

With just 13 league starts to his name, Todibo has never been able to cement his spot in the starting lineup, but the centre-back has still managed to cut together a compilation of his displays.

Taking to Instagram (7 April), Todibo wrote: “Si seulement ils savaient [If they only knew…],” with a star and gorilla emojis.

Edson Alvarez, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Nayef Aguerd, who is currently on loan away from East London, all liked the post as the defender left a cryptic post for the supporters.

Graham Potter needs summer reset at the London Stadium

Football Insider verdict

Potter has only won three of his 12 matches in charge since replacing Julen Lopetegui, but until he can bring in players to match his style of football, it will be a difficult process for the London side.

West Ham could accept an offer which sees Mohammed Kudus leave this summer, with the Ghanian struggling to make much impact this season, and that could help fund a summer rebuild.

West Ham have fallen down the Premier League table.

With the Hammers currently sitting 16th in the Premier League table, there is plenty of work to do, but David Sullivan is unlikely to open his pockets for a second consecutive summer window.

Todibo is somewhat of a controversial figure in East London, with some fans beginning to warm up to him despite a slow start after his move from Nice, while others are too impatient to wait for him to find his feet.

Players, such as Danny Ings, Guido Rodriguez and Mavropanos, are not so controversial, with the majority of the fanbase wanting them gone, but it might not be so simple to offload them this summer.
