England legend David Beckham sends ‘huge’ message to Harry Kane
England legend David Beckham congratulated Harry Kane after the striker joined the 100 club against Finland on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old scored both goals in England’s 2-0 UEFA Nations League victory over Finland to send them level on points with Greece at the top of Group two.
The Bayern Munich striker was hooked off after 80 minutes by interim manager Lee Carsley, receiving a standing ovation from a grateful Wembley crowd.
Kane is the second youngest player in England history to reach 100 caps, two years older than Wayne Rooney, and is 25 off Peter Shilton’s record.

With 68 goals in his 100 appearances, the England captain is his country’s greatest-ever international goalscorer, 15 ahead of Rooney in second.
Under Gareth Southgate, Kane has seen two consecutive European Championship finals and a World Cup semi-final in 2018.
Beckham may not have had the same success for England, but moments like his 2001 freekick against Greece hold a special place in the nation’s footballing culture.
The ex-national team captain, who is currently third in England’s list of all-time appearance makers with 115, took to Instagram to congratulate Kane on his achievement.

Kane will have the opportunity to add to his tally at the start of October with England due to face Greece and then Finland for a second time in the Nations League.
For now, he returns to Bayern, aiming to secure the first piece of major silverware after falling short to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen last season.
