Delle Alli, Eric Dier and Harry Kane all start England’s clash against France tonight, Football Insider sources understand.
The Tottenham trio will be joined in a youthful team by Everton pair John Stones and Ross Barkley, and Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.
All six players are aged 22 or under, with the remaining five men in the starting X1 understood to be skipper Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart, Nathaniel Clyne, Kieran Gibbs and Gary Cahill.
Football Insider revealed yesterday that Spurs midfielder Alli, 19, would make his first start for England and that Stones would partner Cahill at the back.
Speaking ahead of the match, Hodgson said: “I would rather have had the players available for Euro 2016 available for this match so we wouldn’t have to go too far down the experimental route, but it is experimental from our point of view, and we have to make sure we play the best the game possible.”
England team: Hart; Clyne, Stones, Cahill, Gibbs; Dier, Alli; Barkley, Rooney, Sterling; Kane.
