England Under-21 star: Why Leeds must make summer move for midfielder
COMMENT By Dominic Toner
Leeds should seriously consider making a loan move for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old is on the fringes of the Chelsea squad and can’t force his way into Antonio Conte’s plans, but is blessed with bags of ability and looks set to have a huge future.
Garry Monk’s side should give the emerging youngster the chance to play regular football next season and bring him to Elland Road.
Chelsea have become well known for loaning out the youth products over the years and the Whites should be able to put forward a good case to sign him.
Loftus-Cheek was in action on Monday night during England’s Under-21s and starred in a 4-0 victory over Denmark in a friendly.

Chelsea’s attacking midfielder scored two well-taken goals to continue his impressive form for his country and reminded Conte of his talents.
He is a central midfielder by trade and also has the ability to play in a more advanced positions.
Loftus-Cheek has been in the England set-up for a couple of years now and is tipped as a potential star at Stamford Bridge.
He has been unable to get in ahead of the likes of Cesc Fabregas, N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic this season, meaning he has made just eight senior appearances.
Loftus-Cheek has never experienced a loan spell before and next season would be the perfect time for Chelsea to release him.
Meanwhile, Leeds need to jump to the front of what would surely be a long queue if the Englishman came available.
The Whites are vying for promotion to the Premier League and top-flight status would definitely strengthen their claim.
Monk has shown a desire to integrate young players to his starting line-up and Loftus-Cheek would really add a touch of class to the Leeds ranks.
