Enzo Fernandez responds to Cole Palmer’s two-word Chelsea comeback message
Cole Palmer’s message to Chelsea fans after their derby victory over Tottenham received plenty of responses from his teammates.
Chelsea edged past their fierce London rivals with a 1-0 win, thanks to Enzo Fernandez’s powerful header, set up by Palmer’s pinpoint cross in the second half.
The clash wasn’t without controversy, with both sides having goals ruled out following lengthy VAR reviews. Pape Matar Sarr and Moises Caicedo were both denied after tight calls.
Palmer has faced criticism from pundits in recent weeks due to a dip in form, having gone eight league games without a goal in 2025. However, he reminded everyone of his influence with a key contribution in the derby.
After missing the previous match against Arsenal through injury, Palmer returned to action and delivered when it mattered, responding with an assist and a message to the fans that didn’t go unnoticed by his teammates.

Cole Palmer focused on Chelsea future despite exit speculation
After the derby win, the 22-year-old shared a brief but telling message on Instagram, writing: “We back!” whilst tagging Fernandez and referencing his assist with an emoji.
Fernandez replied in the comments: “Thank you Cold” while other teammates showed their support. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall commented “Back baby”, with Noni Madueke, Marc Cucurella, and Nicolas Jackson also liking the post.
Despite a recent dip in form, Palmer’s output remains impressive, with 22 goal contributions so far this season.
However, Paul Merson has suggested thaat Palmer could consider leaving Chelsea if the club’s inconsistency under Enzo Maresca continues to jeopardise their Champions League hopes.
That said, former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Palmer is expected to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond this season.
The Englishman himself appears determined to keep his focus on football as Chelsea push for a top-four finish.

Football Insider revealed that that Real Madrid are monitoring Fernandez ahead of a potential summer move.
He is considered a vital part of Maresca’s long-term project, but a sizeable bid from the Spanish giants could test Chelsea’s resolve.
