Enzo Fernandez, Toni Rudiger react to Nicolas Jackson’s ‘the end’ post at Chelsea
Nicolas Jackson remained positive on social media after Chelsea secured a dramatic 2-2 draw against Ipswich Town.
Goals from Julio Encisco and Ben Johnson handed the Tractor Boys a shock two-goal lead at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, 13 April, with Kieran McKenna currently under pressure at Ipswich.
That pressure only increased on the 38-year-old as Enzo Maresca’s men fought back seconds into the second half, thanks to an Axel Tuanzebe own goal before Jadon Sancho scored a screamer in the final 10 minutes.
Despite netting nine goals in the Premier League season, Jackson was experiencing a bad day at the office, registering a zero per cent shot accuracy, and being replaced in the closing stages.

Taking to Instagram (14 April), Jackson, remaining positive, wrote: “Till the end,” with a blue heart, gaining the attention of teammates Marc Cucurella, Trevor Chalobah and Enzo Fernandez.
Real Madrid’s Toni Rudiger, Everton’s Idrissa Gueye and Brighton loanee Abdallah Sima also all liked the post after the Blues’ 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Maresca still fighting for Champions League qualification at Stamford Bridge
Football Insider verdict
Maresca is up against it at Chelsea, especially with the supporters beginning to turn on the Italian, even despite his team avoiding defeat in each of their last four across all competitions.
While the Blues are expected to lift the Europa Conference League title, qualifying for the Europa League in the process, Champions League qualification is also on the cards this season.
| Premier League standings | Points |
| 3. Nottingham Forest | 57 |
| 4. Newcastle United | 56 |
| 5. Man City | 55 |
| 6. Chelsea | 54 |
| 7. Aston Villa | 54 |
Getting into the Champions League should take most of the pressure off Maresca’s back at Stamford Bridge, with an entire summer transfer window to get his squad in shape for the 2025/26 campaign.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Benoit Badiashile, Carney Chukwuemeka and Ben Chilwell are all seen as potential players to get rid of once the season ends, and that is only the tip of the iceberg.
If Maresca is to build a squad worthy of his playing style, and one with a much less eye-watering wage bill, multiple exits will need to be sought before the next season rolls around.
