‘Enzo Maresca hit by big Chelsea dressing room issue’
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca will have to manage a number of big egos in the Stamford Bridge dressing room next season.
The Blues have once again spent big this summer, splashing the cash in an attempt to improve on their recent fourth-place Premier League finish.
Ahead of their involvement in the Club World Cup, the West London side added Liam Delap, Mamadou Sarr, and Dario Essugo to their ranks.
Last week, Chelsea announced the signings of Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, from Brighton and Borussia Dortmund, respectively.
However, Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that the Blues are far from finished in the transfer market.

‘Chelsea will keep spending’, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Chelsea haven’t even broken into their transfer budget for this summer, and will “keep on spending” ahead of the transfer deadline.
The Blues could receive over £100million if they win the Club World Cup, which would cancel out a large portion of their financial outlay in this window.
However, Wyness warned that Maresca will have a challenge on his hands to balance the egos in the Chelsea squad.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “It’s Chelsea, there was no doubt that they were going to be spending big this summer and with this Club World Cup money coming in, and they’re still not out of it yet, they’re going to keep on spending. They still haven’t even broken into the money they already had ready to go this summer.
“It’s an interesting situation. I’ve seen all these funny memes about them needing a triple-decker bus for the size of the squad and having about 50 people in the dressing room. All of that is true and Maresca is going to have to manage that. That’s going to be his big issue.
“I think there will be a lot of clubs now on the phone to Chelsea, trying to be friendly and looking for loans.
“They’re going to be storing up players, which they’ve done before, and they’ve traded very well. They’ve really traded and sold a lot of players when you look at the record with Chelsea.
“They’re buying in a lot of talent right now and balancing those egos is going to be an interesting situation.”

Chelsea to sell two wingers
Meanwhile, Chelsea are ready to accept bids for two of their current wingers this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Both Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke could leave the club after the Blues added Gittens to their ranks.
Sources say that Sterling doesn’t have a long-term future at Stamford Bridge, despite the fact that Arsenal decided against a permanent signing following his loan spell in North London.
Madueke has done well for Maresca in recent times but Chelsea are willing to sell him now, with clubs at home and abroad monitoring the situation.
