Chelsea supporters believe that Enzo Maresca is already the manager of the season in the Premier League following their latest victory.
The Blues put further pressure on Liverpool at the top of the table after defeating Brentford 2-1 on Sunday (15 December), with goals from Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson securing the three points.
Maresca’s side sit just two points behind the Reds at the moment while being four points above Arsenal and it has left former player Joe Cole impressed.
He told TNT Sports, “It’s looking great, Enzo Maresca, so far, is the manager of the season. What he had to contend with at the start.
“A lot of question marks on the recruitment, and since late September there’s just been an upward curve. Been faultless Europe, he’s managed to use the squad in that competition.”
The Blues have won 10 of their opening 16 games and boast the best-attacking form in the division after scoring 37 times so far.
