Enzo Maresca publicly slams Chelsea star as ’embarrassing’ after what he did vs Wolves
Chelsea played out a Carabao Cup classic against Wolves on Wednesday night, but Enzo Maresca wasn’t happy with one of his players.
The Blues started the game in style as goals from Andrey Santos and Tyrique George saw them race into a two-goal lead at Molineux.
Maresca’s men then thought the tie was wrapped up when Estevao scored on the stroke of half-time as Wolves fans booed manager Vitor Pereira.
However, the hosts threatened to stage a second-half fightback after Tolu Arokodare and David Moller Wolfe scored to make it 3-2.
Sadly for them, an incredible Jamie Gittens volley in the 89th minute booked Chelsea’s place in the sixth round before Wolfe bagged a consolation.

Enzo Maresca slams ’embarrassing’ Liam Delap
Chelsea fans would have been pleased to see striker Liam Delap return to action against Wolves after two months on the sidelines.
Delap picked up a hamstring injury against Fulham before the transfer window slammed shut as Chelsea recalled Marc Guiu from his loan at Sunderland.
The 22-year-old was introduced from the bench in the 65th minute at Molineux, replacing Estevao, but his comeback was soured by a moment of madness.
Delap was shown a yellow card in the 79th minute following a petty altercation with the referee, and just seven minutes later, the Englishman was given his marching orders after elbowing Emmanuel Agbadou.
A lack of discipline was shown by the striker, and as a result, Maresca labelled him ’embarrassing’ for receiving a red card.

Delap will miss Tottenham clash
Although Delap was sent off during a Carabao Cup tie, he will now miss Chelsea’s visit to Tottenham in the Premier League this weekend.
A red card applies across both competitions, and luckily for the Blues, the punishment is only one match, and he will return against Wolves on November 8.
Delap needs to stamp a lack of discipline out of his game; otherwise, he could get into a bad habit of receiving red cards, something his teammates have done this season.
