Enzo Maresca sends message to Chelsea fans after Cole Palmer development
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has taken to social media to thank the fans for their support after an impressive start to life at Stamford Bridge.
Thanks to the 44-year-old, Chelsea have climbed to third place in the Premier League for the first time since the end of the 2021-22 season.
He will no doubt be frustrated to have not taken advantage of some favourable results around them, however, drawing both of their recent games against Man United and Arsenal 1-1.
After a tricky run of fixtures that included Liverpool and Newcastle as well as United and Arsenal, Maresca’s side have the opportunity to cement themselves as genuine contenders for Champions League qualification come the end of the season.
Enzo Maresca asks Chelsea fans to keep backing the side
Chelsea have the youngest squad in the Premier League, with an average age of just 23 years and 228 days after the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Thiago Silva, and Raheem Sterling left in the summer transfer window.
There is still a lot of work to do, but Maresca has taken to Instagram to urge fans to keep the faith ahead of a hectic festive period.

Both Chelsea and Maresca will be delighted after Cole Palmer, 22, decided to pull out of Lee Carsley’s England squad for their UEFA Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.
Palmer managed to play the full 90 minutes against Arsenal despite picking up a knock in their previous game against Man United, and will now have two weeks to get back to peak fitness.
