
Enzo Maresca wows Chelsea fans with ‘genius’ move
Enzo Maresca has been hailed as a “genius” by Chelsea supporters after his actions after the club’s Europea Conference League win over Astana were revealed.
The Blues continued their 100% record of the competition with a 3-1 win over the Kazakh side last Thursday (12 December) to automatically qualify for the knock-out stages.
It was a long trip for the players who travelled for the game, the club’s longest away journey ever, and there were some dedicated supporters who also that journey to Kazakhstan.
Now, the Chelsea manager’s recognition of those supporters who watched their team against Astana appears to have gone down very well with the fanbase overall.
Chelsea fans love what Maresca did after win over Astana
As per BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Maresca, along with sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stuart, wrote a letter to every fan who travelled to Kazakhstan to thank them for their efforts.
With the Blues currently sat second in the Premier League after an all-round strong start on the pitch under the Italian, it seems he is now impressing off it as well.
Taking to social media to react to the revelation of this letter, many Chelsea fans were keen to hail Maresca for his work in bringing the club together again.
