Eric Dier reacts to Ryan Sessegnon’s optimistic Fulham message

Eric Dier has reacted to Ryan Sessegnon’s message after Fulham enjoyed a largely successful Premier League campaign.

Sessegnon enjoyed a good spell of form towards the end of the top-flight season, and notched four goals and two assists from a total of 16 league appearances.

Fulham finished 11th in the Premier League following their 2-0 defeat to Manchester City at Craven Cottage on the final day of the season on Sunday, 25 May.

Sessegnon’s final game of the season arrived when he scored a 92nd-minute winner in a 2-1 win over Southampton on 26 April.

Dier reacts as Sessegnon shares Fulham future hopes

Fulham’s return of 54 points in the Premier League this term marked their highest tally since winning the Championship title in 2022.

Sessegnon shared his optimism for the future at Craven Cottage via Instagram [26 May] as he wrote: “A rollercoaster of a season.

“It’s been good to feel back in my flow. Massive thank you to everyone for all the support.

“This is an amazing group & we’ve got some much more to give & build on! See you all in August.”

The post attracted a like from former Tottenham defender Eric Dier, while Fulham teammate Martial Godo commented: “My brother.”

Nottingham Forest could make a move for Fulham boss Silva

While Silva has got the best out of the likes of Sessegnon in recent weeks, he has enjoyed yet another stellar season in the Craven Cottage dugout.

Sessegnon has had a good season

Since the 47-year-old guided the West London club to promotion from the Championship in 2022, they have never encountered relegation worries in the Premier League.

But the downside to how well Silva has performed for Fulham is that his excellent managerial services have caught the attention of their top-flight rivals.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly set their sights on a move for Silva if they choose to part company with Nuno Espirito Santo.

The former Wolves boss has steered the East Midlands club to Conference League qualification this season after enduring a relegation battle just last term.

But his recent clash with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis made it clear that Espirito Santo may not be completely happy with matters at the City Ground despite his achievements.
