Eriksen: This is the major difference at Tottenham compared to when I joined
By Dominic Toner
Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen believes his current side have matured hugely compared to when he first joined the club.
The 25-year-old moved to White Hart Lane in 2013 and has become an important first team player.
He played a big role in Spurs becoming one of the leading sides in England and is now vying for the league title this season.
The north London club are four points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea and face their London rivals on Saturday in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Mauricio Pochettino has become a huge favourite with the Spurs fans and his team are now considered one of the best in England.

Eriksen has described that Spurs in 2013 used to be blown away by teams, but claims the mood is very different now in the dressing room.
“In my first season at Spurs, in some of the big games we would concede a goal and then lose heavily, but that doesn’t happen anymore,” Eriksen said, as quoted by the FA’s official website. “We’ve matured as players and as a team over the last two years and we’re starting to see the benefits of that in our results.
“Our mentality has changed, everyone is confident and secure in their minds about what they need to do on the pitch. The spirit in the squad is so strong, we all trust each other and will fight for each other because we all want to achieve success here.”
Pochettino has several star players in his squad, including the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld and Hugo Lloris.
However, attacking midfielder Eriksen has been equally as impressive this season and been one of the side’s most creative players.
The Denmark international has made 42 appearances across all competitions this campaign, scoring 11 goals and supplying 18 assists across all competitions.
Eriksen will hope to inspire his side at the weekend in the cup meeting with Chelsea as Spurs look to win their first piece of silverware since 2008.
