Erling Haaland bids farewell after confirmed player exit from Man City
Erling Haaland was left emotional in a goodbye message following confirmation of an exit at Man City.
Haaland enjoyed another prolific campaign in front of goal, but City ultimately ended the season without silverware—falling well behind in both the Premier League title race and European competitions.
Despite his individual success, the campaign ended in frustration for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Haaland is currently on international duty at Norway as they prepare for a crucial World Cup qualifier against Estonia. They currently sit top of Group I with nine points, ahead of Italy and Moldova, and have the chance to strengthen their position this week.
But while club football is momentarily on hold, Haaland had a heartfelt moment off the pitch after news emerged that a close teammate is set to leave the Etihad.

Erling Haaland says goodbye to Scott Carson following Man City exit
After six seasons at the club, Manchester City have confirmed that veteran goalkeeper Scott Carson will leave the Etihad this summer.
Haaland paid tribute to Carson with a heartfelt message on Instagram, writing: “The kind of teammate every squad needs. All the best in the new chapter.”
The post received plenty of responses, with City teammates such as Savinho and Rico Lewis among those who liked it, alongside Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.
Despite making just two appearances for City, with one in the Champions League against Sporting in 2022 and another in the Premier League against Newcastle in 2021, Carson departs with an impressive trophy haul.
His honours include four Premier League titles, a Champions League medal, and two League Cups, a reflection of the club’s dominant era.
Jack Grealish set to follow Scott Carson in Man City summer exodus

Along with Carson, the Cityzens are expected to go through a squad overhaul this summer, and Football Insider revealed that Grealish is likely to leave Man City this summer.
The England international has struggled for consistent minutes, registering only 20 appearances in all competitions, including just seven Premier League starts over the last 12 months.
Several clubs are reportedly interested in securing his signature, with fresh reports suggesting that Newcastle United are keen to bring Grealish in amid the stiff competition.
It’s vital Grealish makes the right move at this stage in his career, as his future at the Etihad now appears increasingly uncertain.
With more high-profile names potentially heading for the exit, it remains to be seen who else will follow Carson and Grealish in what could be a transformative summer for Guardiola’s side.
