Erling Haaland issues fitness update amid Man City injury fears

Man City striker Erling Haaland faced a race against time to prove his fitness earlier this week as his side prepare to face Burnley.

Man City are set to take on Burnley in the Premier League on 27 September, but there were fears they could be without talisman Haaland.

The Norwegian came off after 76 minutes against Arsenal when he complained of pain in his back, as Haaland was left out of Man City’s Carabao Cup team that beat Huddersfield.

Pep Guardiola revealed that the striker “didn’t train” in his press conference before the Huddersfield game and that it has been a “demanding week” for the players.

Now, the striker shared a encouraging update as the side prepare their final preparations before returning to the Etihad Stadium.

Football Insider revealed Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in Haaland and are considering a move, with both clubs likely to bring in a new striker.
