Erling Haaland issues three-word update as Man City footage emerges

Man City striker Erling Haaland has taken to social media to provide an update on his ongoing recovery from injury.

This season has seen Pep Guardiola‘s side fall a long way short in their attempts to defend their Premier League title for another year, but the Norwegian has continued to impress.

Haaland is currently the second top scorer in the league this season behind only Liverpool talisman Mo Salah.

But after he limped out of the FA Cup win at Bournemouth at the end of March, Guardiola revealed the Man City striker is set to spend several weeks on the sidelines through injury.

Now though, it appears as though Haaland is making positive progress as he bids to get back on the pitch with time running out until the end of the season.

Haaland posted a video of himself completing an exercise inside the club’s training ground, running from length of a mat to another.

As he completed that process, the striker then approached the camera before leaning in and simply declaring: “We’re getting there”.

Man City to be excited by latest update

Football Insider Verdict

January signing Omar Marmoush has come up with a number of important goals for Man City since stepping in at centre-forward following the injury to Haaland.

Despite that it is still going to be a positive sign for everyone connected with the club that their top scorer appears to be making progress towards his return to action.

When Haaland is on form he is undeniably one of the most dangerous strikers in world football, and he was showing signs of getting back to that level before his injury.

As a result it will be a big boost for Man City to have him back, when they can still end the season on a high with the FA Cup and Club World Cup.

With that in mind plenty connected with the club will inevitably be taking an interest in the progress of Haaland as he continues his recovery.
