Erling Haaland sends goodbye message after Man City player exit confirmed
Erling Haaland dedicated a farewell post on social media to a teammate after their move was confirmed earlier this week.
Man City saw plenty of changes to the squad this summer, with Pep Guardiola overseeing what became a major reshuffle.
Several big names from the club’s recent period of success have left, with Kevin De Bruyne leaving to join Napoli, Jack Grealish being sent on loan to Everton and Kyle Walker completing a permanent exit to Burnley.
Guardiola wanted to trim down the size of the City squad this summer after last season’s underwhelming finish, where they failed to win a trophy.
Now, Haaland has dispatched a goodbye message on social media following Ederson’s transfer to Fenerbahce.

Erling Haaland dedicates farewell message to Ederson
Although Ederson signed for Fenerbahce before the transfer window closed, Haaland shared his goodbye message on Instagram more recently.
He posted several photos of himself and the goalkeeper during their time together with a caption that read: “An absolute legend! Thank you for everything, especially the assists.”
The goalkeeper himself responded with “ Thank you brother” with a heart and thumbs-up emoji, while Phil Foden and Savinho all shared a like on the post.
Football Insider revealed Man City were open to accepting offers for Ederson this summer, with the goalkeeper having just a year left on his deal this summer and with no talks of renewal.
Some Man City fans have even called for Ederson to be sold before the club risk losing him for free. While Galatasaray showed serious interest, their rivals Fenerbahce swooped in to complete a late deal.
He leaves City after several successful years, winning six Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, four League Cups and the club’s first Champions League.

Man City make Gianluigi Donnarumma decision
Man City moved quickly to bring in Gianluigi Donnarumma following Ederson’s departure, but questions have been raised as the club also signed James Trafford earlier in the window.
However, Football Insider revealed Donnarumma will replace Trafford as Man City’s first-choice goalkeeper, despite the Englishman starting the first three games.
After a difficult start to life back in Manchester, the club now aim for the Italian to be the undisputed starter for the rest of the season, as Trafford will act as the second-choice goalkeeper.
