
Erling Haaland sends message to Martin Odegaard as new arrival confirmed
Man City striker Erling Haaland has taken to social media to congratulate Martin Odegaard on the birth of his son.
Odegaard, 25, and his partner, Helene Spilling, announced the birth of their son on Friday (December 7) ahead of Arsenal’s game with Fulham on Sunday.
The attacking midfielder missed 12 games for his club after picking up an ankle injury while on international duty with Norway earlier in the season.
He has since returned, making nine appearances across all competitions, eight of which have been starts, scoring one goal and providing three assists in a total of 669 minutes.

Haaland, 24 has once again been key to Pep Guardiola’s plans this season, starting all 20 of his appearances across all competition, scoring 17 goals, and providing one assist in 1762 minutes of game time.
The striker was able to put club allegiances to one side, taking to Instagram to congratulate his international teammate on the announcement.

City managed to emerge from a remarkable seven-game winless streak across all competitions with a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday (December 4).
Guardiola’s side are just two points behind Arsenal despite their poor run of form, sitting in fourth with 26 points from their opening 14 games.
