Erling Haaland ‘spreading confidence’ at Man City after Sky dressing room reveal – pundit
Paul Robinson has claimed “confidence will spread through” the Man City dressing room if Erling Haaland starts the Premier League season well.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said the 22-year-old “looks to have settled in very well” with Pep Guardiola’s side.
Haaland scored on his debut for City on Sunday in a 1-0 win over Bayern Munich.
According to Sky Sports (24 July), the Norway international is already a popular figure inside the Premier League champions’ dressing room.
The striker put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Etihad earlier this month after City activated his release clause at Borussia Dortmund.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Haaland’s impact at City both on and off the field, Robinson said: “Haaland is a very confident character.
“He leads from the front.
“His confidence will be tested if he doesn’t score goals though. If he scores goals and has a season like expected, that confidence will spread through the dressing room.

“There is a fine line from confidence to arrogance and he has to keep it as confidence. I’m sure he’ll be able to do that.
“Haaland looks to have settled in very well. I watched the Troy Hawke video on Man City socials and there looks to be a good spirit in the camp. All seems to be well at City.”
