ESPN pundit predicts Levy to secure late August Tottenham transfer of 26-year-old

ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop has predicted that Kyle Walker will quit Tottenham very late in the summer transfer window.
The former West Ham and Newcastle goalkeeper is convinced that the right-back is heading for the White Hart Lane exit door following the intense speculation surrounding him in recent weeks.
But Hislop is not expecting Tottenham to grant Walker an easy departure even though he believes there is an inevitability to the transfer being completed eventually.
Manchester City have been most strongly linked with a summer pursuit of the 26-year-old, although the Mirror reported on Wednesday that Chelsea are ready to join the £40million battle for his services.
Leading bookmaker Sky Bet have suspended betting on the England international making a summer switch to City as speculation reaches fever pitch that his time at Spurs is drawing to a swift close.

But Hislop expects Spurs’ long-standing chairman Daniel Levy to string out Walker’s departure for as long as possible and claims it could even go to the wire in August.
“I am going to say he leaves,” said Hislop when asked by ESPN FC if Walker will stay or go. “This would be a very late in the transfer window deal because Daniel Levy, we have seen him do business before, he makes business hard for anybody else.”
Walker, 26, has remained silent in recent weeks while he has been dropped for a number of big matches in favour of Kieran Trippier.
Walker was on the bench again for White Hart Lane’s final match on Sunday, the 2-1 victory over Manchester United, and he appeared to take some grass from the pitch as a memento after coming on late for his fellow right-back, who had sustained concussion.
He then posted this video with his thoughts on the Lane, which is now being demolished ahead of Spurs’ move to Wembley for a season before they take residence at their new stadium.

Walker has made 39 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham this season, including starts in 31 Premier League matches.
He was last named in the starting XI when Pochettinio’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat away at West Ham on 5 May, which all but ended their title hopes.
Walker is absent from the Spurs squad for their Premier League clash at Leicester on Thursday night due to an ankle injury.
