Ethan Pinnock shares touching five-word message as Brentford exit confirmed
Ethan Pinnock has taken to social media with an emotional message following a confirmed exit at Brentford.
The 32-year-old defender remains an important member of the Bees’ squad, despite only making 21 starts in the Premier League last season, still scoring against Wolves and Man United.
He is also a key part of the Jamaica national team, having played the full 90 minutes in each of their last three Gold Cup matches, and is likely to stay in the squad under Keith Andrews.
However, with several stars being linked with moves away, supporters are extremely concerned for the Bees’ Premier League campaign, with many already preparing for a relegation battle next term.
Yoane Wissa and Keane Lewis-Potter are both being linked with exits, possibly following Christian Norgaard and Mark Flekken out the exit doors, but it is Bryan Mbeumo‘s move which has caused the most damage.
Brentford wave goodbye to Bryan Mbeumo
Taking to Instagram stories (22 July), Pinnock wrote: “All the best, mon frere, @bryan_.m19,” sending a special message to Bryan Mbeumo following his move to Man United.
The Old Trafford-bound forward made 242 appearances during his time at the Gtech Community Stadium, netting 70 goals and assisting another 47 goals, earning his big-money move away.
Pinnock and Mbeumo both joined the Bees during the summer of 2019, going on an incredible journey together before finally parting ways ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Keith Andrews to struggle at Brentford next season
Football Insider verdict
The boardroom need to make some serious decisions over the next few weeks, with the club’s biggest star now being confirmed as a Man United player in Ruben Amorim’s squad.
Football Insider understands that Brentford are likely to make another approach for Omari Hutchinson now that Mbeumo has left, with a huge gap being left in the forward line.
Of course, the Cameroon international’s exit makes a move for Wissa far less likely this summer, with Kevin Schade coming into his own and Thiago Rodrigues back from injury.

However, the current squad is still not strong enough to remain in the Premier League next season, though signing 35-year-old Jordan Henderson will increase the experience in the team.
Michael Kayode, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Antoni Milambo have all joined the squad as well, deals which have been greeted with excitement, but fans are still preparing for the worst ahead of next season.
Andrews needs to be backed by the board over the coming weeks if the Bees are to avoid the drop down to the Championship, which would be disastrous for the club.
