The home side had left their promotion campaign in tatters after an abysmal first-half display that saw them concede three goals in the space of just 17 minutes.
They were lucky not to go four goals behind at the break, but Nelson Oliveira – who netted a brace – spurned a straightforward chance.

However, Chris Wood found the back of the net for Leeds just seconds before the break, igniting a glimmer of hope in their stuttering promotion bid.
They came out for the second-half full of confidence, and reduced the deficit to just one goal when Kyle Bartley bundled home from a corner just four minutes after the restart.
With the backing of the fans, Leeds continued to bombard the Norwich goal, and were rewarded for their efforts with an equaliser with 12 minutes of normal time left on the clock.
But that was all Leeds could muster as they waved goodbye to their promotion hopes, instead securing a seventh-placed finish.
O’Kane played a key role during the 3-3 stalemate for Leeds, producing a fine midfield display on his first appearance for the club in their last six Championship outings.
