Evanilson and Alex Scott share instant reactions as Bournemouth new deal agreed
Bournemouth players delivered their instant reaction to the confirmed news regarding a player extension on social media.
This summer has proven to be a period of transition for Andoni Iraola and the Cherries, after multiple players decided to leave, coming off the back of their highest-ever Premier League points tally last season.
The start of the window saw Dean Huijsen complete a move to Real Madrid, which was only the start of the exodus to follow, as Illia Zabarnyi, Milos Kerkez, Dango Ouattara also left the side.
However, despite the many changes, one player has decided to remain and commit their future to the Vitality Stadium, with players showing their support for the news.

Marcus Tavernier signs new Bournemouth extension until 2029
Bournemouth have confirmed that Marcus Tavernier has signed a new long-term deal, extending his stay at the Vitality Stadium until 2029.
The official club account posted the news on Instagram, and the announcement saw support from his teammates. New signings Amine Adli and Bayode Diakite joined Alex Scott and Evanilson, who all liked the post.
Tavernier netted Bournemouth’s winner against Wolves and has been in top form so far this season, starting in all three games.
Meanwhile, West Ham had shown interest in Tavernier earlier in the summer, but the club were keen to keep hold of the winger, and he has now committed his future.
He has made a total of 93 appearances for the Cherries since he joined the club from Middlesbrough back in July 2022.
In that time, the versatile forward has contributed to 27 goals and assists and continues to play a key part in Iraola’s plans.

Marcus Tavernier joins Antoine Semenyo to commit future to Bournemouth
Tavernier’s decision comes after fellow forward Antoine Semenyo also signed a new deal earlier this summer, despite interest from clubs elsewhere.
Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has urged Bournemouth to “hang on” to Semenyo, given his consistent impact in their frontline, as interest is set to remain.
For now, though, Iraola has secured clarity over two of his key attacking players, which is a boost if he wants to improve on last season’s record-breaking points tally.
