Evanilson and Justin Kluivert react as Bournemouth agree deadline-day signing

Bournemouth players shared a reaction on social media after the club completed a signing on deadline day.

Andoni Iraola’s side has overseen major changes to the squad this summer, with several exits and arrivals at the club. After an impressive season where the Cherries did the league double over Arsenal and finished with their highest points tally in the Premier League, a number of key players have decided to move on.

Dean Huijsen sealed a move to Real Madrid, Django Ouattara joined Brentford, while long-serving midfielder Philip Billing opted for a return to Denmark.

In their place, several new arrivals have also come through the door. Ben Doak completed a move from Liverpool, Amine Adli joined from Bayer Leverkusen, and Bafode Diakite was brought in as the club’s second-most expensive player.

Now, with the window drawing to a close, the Cherries have managed to finalise one more deal on deadline day that drew plenty of reaction from new teammates.

Bournemouth complete Alex Jimenez signing from AC Milan

Bournemouth have announced the signing of Alex Jimenez from AC Milan on a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy. If the full-back starts 18 games in the Premier League, then the Cherries will sign the 20-year-old permanently for £16.5m.

The official club account posted the news on Instagram with numerous players sharing a reaction with Evanilson, Justin Kluivert and fellow new signing Adli all liking the post.

The defender will bolster Iraola’s defensive options, following the recent additions of Diakite, Adrien Truffert and goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

The Spain youth international who came through Real Madrid’s academy, made 14 starts for Milan last season and has already shown his versatility, having played at both full-back positions as well as higher up the pitch on either flank.

Bournemouth face Axel Disasi transfer blow

The Cherries have now made six signings during the window, and Jimenez’s arrival could mark the end of their summer business.

Bournemouth did hold talks for Axel Disasi on a loan deal from Chelsea, but according to Alex Crook of talkSPORT, a deal is now “unlikely”.

Despite defensive exits such as Milos Kerkez, Illia Zabarnyi and Huijsen, it seems as if Iraola is content with the additions after Jimenez’s arrival.
