Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to urge their club to keep hold of Robert Green.
The Elland Road faithful’s messages came after talkSPORT correspondent Ian Abrahams reported that the club were ready to offload the 37-year-old goalkeeper.
Abrahams made the claim on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday night.

The 37-year-old was one of the Whites’ most consistent performers last season, playing 47 league and cup games, keeping 15 clean sheets.
He joined the Yorkshire giants from Queens Park Rangers on a free last summer, after previously spending time at West Ham and Norwich City in the Premier League.
Green has been capped by England on 12 occasions, but he has been an unused substitute the last four times he has featured in the Three Lions’ match day squad.
The Elland Road faithful were furious that their club were even considering letting the experienced shot-stopper go, and they took to Twitter to show it.
Here are a selection of the best messages on Twitter.
Absolutely devastated if @Robert1Green goes but if he goes to Larry and secures his own career il be happy for him. Should be no1 at Leeds

Why even take the gamble of making Wiedwald no.1 and losing Rob Green. Madness!! If he is that good, then did he only cost 500k?!? #lufc

Do NOT sell Rob Green.
Find a starting left back.
Find a starting centre back.

I like Rob Green. I think he could/should have been PoTS. If #lufc can't guarantee him a starting spot, though, he's bound look elsewhere.

Honestly don't see any value in moving Green on… experience could be huge for someone like Pennington. Odd one. #lufc

To let Green go just shouldn't wont happen you would replace a missing central def and make the new rest earn there stripes simple #lufc

New Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen has brought in 27-year-old goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald this summer, so it would seem that he is to be the club’s first choice number one next term.
In other Leeds transfer news, this ace is being lined up by an Italian club.
