Everton bank stunning £133m payout – sources

Everton have earned around £133million in prize money from their 2023-24 Premier League campaign, sources have told Football Insider.

Despite facing two points deductions throughout the season, the Merseyside club finished the season in 15th place.

The Premier League equally distributes commercial funds between the 20 clubs as well as the UK and overseas broadcast payments.

Clubs are then awarded based on their final league position and are handed additional facility payments based on how often their games were televised.

Overall, Everton have earned a total payout of £133million in prize money, ranking them 12th in the Premier League.

The prize money payments from the Premier League will provide a big boost to Everton’s accounts amid their ongoing takeover talks.

777 Partners are still yet to meet the conditions laid out by the Premier League to take majority control of the club, with the US group given until May 31 until Everton can explore alternative options.

The prize money earned by Everton will squash any concerns over their short-term funding and ability to cover operating costs and stadium construction fees.
