Everton ‘buzzing’ while Liverpool left ‘fuming’ after BBC’s Richarlison update
Kevin Phillips insists Everton will be “buzzing” Richarlison is allowed to play against Burnley this weekend.
The Sunderland legend, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest updates from FIFA.
The organisation have banned some Premier League stars from playing this weekend after their clubs didn’t release Brazilian players to play in this month’s World Cup qualifiers.

However, BBC Sport report (8 September) Brazil have not asked for Richarlison to be banned.
Brazil reportedly showed leniency after the attacker was released to play in this summer’s Olympics.
Phillips insists this move will annoy Liverpool to no end, as they look set to lose three key players this weekend.
“The big thing for me, is we need to learn from this,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We can’t have the same thing going on for the next internationals. They come around pretty quickly as well.
“From Everton’s point of view, they are buzzing he can play because he’s one of their best players.
“From the outside looking in, like Liverpool, they will be fuming, They have plenty of Brazilian players who will miss out don’t they?
“It’s a farcical situation but for me, we need to learn from it so we know what we are doing next time.”

Richarlison scored five goals in six appearances as his side won the gold medal at the Olympics.
Everton’s next game sees them take on Burnley on Monday.
