Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s ability in the air matched with Kieran Trippier’s crossing would be a sight to behold at Everton.

That is according to ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Daily Mail reported that the Toffees have been offered the chance to sign the 26-time England international.

Everton are in the market for a right-back as a long-term replacement for club captain Seamus Coleman, 32.

Trippier has completed 45 per cent of his crosses for Atletico Madrid in La Liga this season, the highest rate in the division (Wyscout).

Calvert-Lewin has six headed goals in the Premier League in 2020-21, more than anyone else (Wyscout).

Kenny lauded the “fantastic” Trippier and predicted that Calvert-Lewin would relish the opportunity to link up with the 30-year-old.

“He’d be a brilliant signing if they can get him for the right price,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.

“He’s done well at Atletico Madrid this season, even though they have had a bit of a drop-off lately.

“He’s an international and a fantastic player so it would be an interesting one.

“His crossing ability with Calvert-Lewin’s ability in the air would definitely be brilliant for Everton.”

Norwich City’s Max Aarons is one name linked with Everton as they continue their search for a right-back.

The Canaries are willing to sell the 21-year-old if a buyer meets their £30million asking price, Football Insider recently revealed.
