Everton close to agreeing Jack Harrison deal – sources
Everton are close to agreeing another season-long loan deal for Jack Harrison, sources have told Football Insider.
The 27-year-old spent last season on loan with the Merseyside giants following Leeds United’s relegation from the Premier League.
Sources from both clubs say talks are now advancing after Harrison has made it clear he wants to stay at Goodison Park and doesn’t want to play in the Championship next season.
There will be no fee involved in the deal and Everton will cover the winger’s wages during his time on Merseyside.
The former England youth international is under contract with Leeds until 2028, but he is now close to agreeing another temporary switch away from Elland Road.
Jack Harrison set for Everton loan after Leeds promotion failure
Football Insider revealed in April Harrison has no plans to return to Leeds and that would still have been the case had his parent club been promoted last season.
The West Yorkshire club missed out on securing an immediate return to the Premier League after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the Championship play-off final.
Harrison scored four goals and laid on three assists after starting in 31 of his 35 appearances for Everton last season.
Football Insider revealed last month the Merseysiders were exploring a permanent deal for the winger, but the talks are now centred around another loan deal.

Everton are working under a tight transfer budget this summer as they are believed to be close to breaching the profit and sustainability rules (PSR) again.
But Sean Dyche’s side are on the verge of securing another signing after Football Insider revealed Aston Villa midfielder Tim Iroegbunam is set to undergo a medical as he looks to complete his move to Goodison.
