Everton ‘confident’ of agreeing Jack Harrison deal with Leeds – sources

Everton are “confident” of agreeing a permanent Jack Harrison deal with Leeds United sources have told Football Insider

The winger has made it clear during talks that he wants to stay at Goodison Park.

Harrison has spent the past season on loan at Evertob after deciding to leave United following their relegation to the Championship.

Football Insider revealed last month the 27-year-old has no plans to return to Elland Road and that would have still been the case had his parent club been promoted.

Everton are working on a permanent deal to sign the winger and have been encouraged by his stance over his future following his year-long spell on Merseyside.

The Toffees announced Harrison would return to West Yorkshire after his loan move came to an end, but Football Insider revealed on 20 May talks between the two clubs would take place once Leeds’ play-off fate was sealed.

The former England youth international is under contract with the Whites until 2028.

Jack Harrison could make permanent move to Everton

Harrison started in 31 of his 35 appearances for Everton after making the temporary move from Leeds last summer.

The Toffees are exploring a permanent deal for the winger after he registered four goals and three assists on the way to helping the club secure their top-flight status for another year.

Although Harrison has returned to Elland Road, Daniel Farke is believed to be willing to let him leave the club this summer after he previously pushed for a move away following their relegation.

Everton

Everton need to assess whether a permanent transfer is financially viable due to the well-documented money problems at Goodison Park.

It’s likely sales are going to be the initial priority this summer after Football Insider revealed on 21 May the Toffees will need to sell at least one of their “big” stars before they submit their accounts at the end of June to help balance the books.
