‘Everton could agree signing of ideal David Moyes player’ for ‘£7m’ from Watford
David Moyes has successfully guided Everton away from a relegation battle since making an emotional return to Goodison Park, but he’s already got one eye on next season.
Moyes wants to have his own influence on the team, with the upcoming summer transfer window being his first in charge of the club.
Football Insider revealed that signing a winger is the “priority” for Everton, with the club not expected to sign Jack Harrison permanently.
More attacking quality is what Moyes wants to provide to his squad due to a lack of goals being a problem this season in the Premier League.
Everton could also be set to lose Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer as his contract with the club does expire at the end of this season.
Moyes is keen to ensure that Everton aren’t involved in any potential relegation battle again next season, therefore this summer’s recruitment is seen as important.

Everton have set their sights on a lower-risk signing
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has revealed he believes that Giorgi Chakvetadze is someone who would fit into the Everton squad.
“He’s a hard-working type of player, he’s David Moyes type of player,” Robinson told Football Insider.
“You look at what Watford actually paid for him from Gent, initially on loan from Gent, coming in and he’s done really well there.
“In a Watford side who have been indifferent this season, started off the season really well, results dropped and faded, come back again.
“We know our Watford higher and fire managers and whether the player recruitment’s, you know, of a similar level.

“It wouldn’t be such a huge risk for Everton because, like I say, Watford paid about 2.5 million euros, I think, at the time for him.
“So the outlay for Everton, yes, obviously Watford are to want to recoup the money because he’s one year into his permanent deal.
“So, he’s going to have three years left on his deal at least, but the initial outlay won’t be a huge risk for Everton.
“Around about five million it cost to get him out maybe five seven million.”

Everton are open to signing Championship stars
Chakvetadze ticks a lot of the boxes that Moyes is looking for as the Everton boss actively wants to sign players from the Championship that he can help develop and grow into bigger stars.
The 25-year-old has plenty of experience to offer, and making the step up to the Premier League would be the natural progression for his career at this stage.
The Georgia international would bolster Everton’s attacking options too, which is another priority for Moyes this summer.
