Kieran Maguire: Maciek Kaminski takeover could unlock Everton 'riches' and launch multi-club empire
Maciek Kaminski could use Everton as the mothership for a multi-club network.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the American-Polish billionaire’s overtures towards Farhad Moshiri.
Kaminski was widely reported as having held talks with the Everton owner earlier this year, but negotiations faltered as Moshiri was seeking a partial rather than full sale.
But the Liverpool ECHO reported on Monday (19 December) that Kaminski remains interested in acquiring a stake in the club.
That is despite the fact that he has recently acquired Greek side Panetolikos and has held talks with the owner of Atletico Madrid, although the substance of the discussions is unknown.
Maguire assessed how Everton would fit into a multi-club structure.

“Multi-club models are becoming increasingly attractive to investors,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“It globalises the investment and also helps de-risk them if one of the clubs has a bad year. Reducing risk is always attractive to investors.
“Ultimately, there would have to be a mothership in any multi-club model. I imagine Kaminski would see this as Everton as the riches of the Premier League far exceed those available elsewhere.
“The allure of the TV deal is strong and Everton will generate bigger revenues once they move into their new stadium.
“The advantage of buying a team like Atletico Madrid, however, would be that Champions League football is already a factor.”
