‘Everton could seal Jack Grealish deal’ after talks reveal from Man City
Jack Grealish is weighing up his Man City future after yet another season on the periphery of Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (12 May) that Grealish will seek assurances from Guardiola this summer after failing to appear in the last four Premier League fixtures.
He has started just seven top-flight matches this term and has made 31 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals.
The winger, who cost Man City £100million in 2021, is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until June 2027.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – revealed why the Toffees are likely to be at the front of the queue to land Grealish.

Everton ‘expected’ to lead Grealish race this summer, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness claimed the England international is a “homebody” and is likely to want to stay in the north-west.
Grealish, who has won three Premier League titles with Man City, played under the former Aston Villa chief at his boyhood club from 2016 to 2018.
Wyness claimed he would expect Everton to “be in the lead” in a potential transfer race for the winger this summer.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “There’s a lot of rumours around Jack.
“I had him during my time at Villa, I resigned him on a new contract and got to know him reasonably well.
“He’s a huge talent, but he’s been a bit wasted at Man City. He’s a game-changer.
“The thing about Jack is that he’s a bit of a homebody. I would think he would love to stay in the UK, and may not even want to move house – move away from the north-west.
“I don’t know if he’s ready for a move to Saudi or elsewhere, culturally.
“It leads me to think that he would prefer to stay in the Premier League with a club where he doesn’t have to move house.
“I think he wants to be settled. That may point towards Everton – they are one of the potential options.
“I’m not holding my hopes out, but they are a club I would expect to be in the lead in this situation.”

Everton make Young contract decision
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (11 May) that David Moyes doesn’t see Ashley Young as part of Everton’s plans next season as the veteran’s contract winds down.
Young is one of eight players whose contracts at Goodison Park will expire at the end of the campaign.
He has started 19 games for the Merseysiders this term but just three of those have come following Moyes’ appointment.
