Aaron Lennon (Right-midfield) – The experienced midfielder replaced Tom Davies at half-time and it’s likely he’ll start the game against Newcastle United. Lennon was a part of the reason why Everton’s improved in the second-half of the game against the Reds. He is better going forward than Davies, and the Toffees are likely to attack more against the Magpies. Davies should pay the price for his woeful Merseyside derby display.
Wayne Rooney (Centre-midfield) – Rooney started the game against Liverpool on the right but will likely move back into the middle for the Newcastle United game. The midfielder will hope to continue his goal scoring form against the Magpies after scoring four in his last three league games.
Idrissa Gueye (Centre-midfield) – The midfielder is expected to keep his place in the team after another decent performance on Sunday.
Gylfi Sigurdsson (Left-midfield) – Sigurdsson didn’t have many opportunities to go forward against Liverpool and will be hoping the Newcastle United match provides him with more chances. The midfielder is expected to get the nod to start.
