Everton fans can’t believe what Jordan Pickford did as ‘sensational’ footage emerges
Everton fans were blown away by Jordan Pickford’s “sensational” save in their win against Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon (21 April).
The struggling Toffees took a huge step in their survival hopes with a 2-0 win against the Reds at Goodison Park thanks to long-range strikes from Idrissa Gana Gueye and Dwight McNeil.
However, their shot-stopper made a crucial save in the 40th minute to prevent what looked like a certain equaliser for the visitors.
Morgan Gibbs-White smashed a bouncing ball into the Everton box and the looming Chris Wood unleashed a thunderous shot towards Pickford.

However, Sky Sports footage showed the England number one get two strong hands on the close-range strike – and then proceed to celebrate in front of the elated home support while the ball was still in play.
Pickford faced swathes of criticism for his poor performance in Everton’s 6-0 thrashing against Chelsea on Monday night (15 April) – but his outstanding outing and clean sheet against Forest has seen much of the fanbase forgive him.
Supporters have taken to social media to react to the “phenomenal” footage, and one fan was adamant that it was the best save of the entire season.
