Everton have dropped Idrissa Gueye from the starting XI against West Brom – and the club’s supporters were furious with the decision on Twitter.
The 27-year-old midfielder has been named on the bench by Ronald Koeman and is one of two changes from the team that were beaten 3-2 by Tottenham.
Gueye and Ramiro Funes Mori have been dropped, while Kevin Mirallas and Phil Jagielka come into the side.
The Toffees host West Brom in the Premier League and will be looking to strengthen their grip on seventh in the table.
Everton fans voiced their frustration at Koeman’s starting line-up and feel that Gueye should have retained his place.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Barry still in. Mirallas in. Jags in. No Gueye or Lookman. I sense we have to win this or Koemans going to take some flack. #efc

Hate having a go before a game, but koemans obsession with Barry is worrying. Gueye and McCarthy on the bench for Barry who can't run??

Gueye’s omission has come as a shock to most people as he has been one of their standout performers this season.
The combative central midfielder has been a revelation since he moved to Goodison Park in the summer from Aston Villa and has been an ever-present under Koeman.
However, the Senegal international missed games during January and February due to the Africa Cup of Nations and has only featured in three league games since.
He was unable to help the recent defeat away to Spurs and has been a casualty in the starting line-up, while midfield team-mates Tom Davies, Morgan Schneiderlin and Gareth Barry retain their places.
In other Everton news, a Sky Sports pundit has named the player who is getting the best out of Ross Barkley.
