Everton fans react on Twitter to reported interest in PL forward
By Derek Smithson
Everton are reportedly lining up a move for Leicester forward Jamie Vardy – and the club’s supporters are divided on Twitter about a potential move.
The Daily Express claim that the Toffees are eyeing the 30-year-old, despite the England International only signing a new £100,000-a-week deal last summer with the Foxes.
The report details that Ronald Koeman’s side are eyeing Vardy as a potential replacement for their star striker Romelu Lukaku, who is subject to a £100million tug of war between Manchester United and Chelsea.
Vardy is renowned for his tireless work-rate and blistering pace in attack, making him a different player to Lukaku.
He helped Leicester remarkably win the Premier League in the 2015/16 campaign and followed that up wth 16 goals across all competitions last season.

Everton fans are undecided about a potential swoop for the Foxes fan favourite as some feel he could help bolster their frontline, while others don’t believe he is good enough for Goodison Park.

Wouldn't want Vardy in an Everton shirt ever. Not good enough. If true we need to aim a lot higher! #EFC

Vardy has enjoyed the fairytale rise of non-league to Premier League football during his career and is now considered one of England’s most senior forward.
He has scored 66 goals in 192 appearances and has become a crucial player during their top flight stay.
Everton may be forced to find a new talisman in attack if Lukaku leaves and he will leave a huge void behind after scoring 26 goals last season.
The Toffees finished seventh-placed in the league table last year and are keen to break into the Champions Leauge spots under Koeman, but will need a prolifc goalscorer if they are to do so.
In other Everton transfer news, they are in the race to sign a French midfield wonderkid.
