Everton have launched a move to take former Arsenal number one Wojciech Szczesny on a season-long loan deal – and fans have reacted positively on Twitter.
The Sun has claimed that Ronald Koeman has targeted the Poland international as the club’s new first choice goalkeeper following the departure of the long serving Tim Howard at the end of last season.
The news comes just days after Gazzetta Dello Sport had claimed that Arsenal and Roma had agreed the terms of a deal for Szczesny
Toffee fans have generally reacted well to the news by demanding that the deal be done, but one fan was not so happy, claiming the shot stopper has not been convincing enough to warrant the move.

Koeman is still in the market for a new goalkeeper after being left with Joel Robles on his Goodison Park arrival and signing Maarten Stekelenburg, 33, from Fulham.
The Toffees manager used Stekelenburg as a back-up at Southampton last season during a loan and Szczesny would be regarded as ahead of the Dutch keeper in the pecking order.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper spent 2015-16 on loan in Italy at Roma, making 34 appearances under both Rudi Garcia and Luciano Spalletti as the club finished third.
Szczesny’s route back into the Gunners side has been blocked by Petr Cech, with Arsene Wenger expected to stick with the veteran goalkeeper as his number one next season.
In other Everton transfer news, the Toffees have launched a £9million bid for Southampton captain Jose Fonte.
